we are trying to build some on-line orientation modules in Canvas for our new students. Our goal is to have it be a bit interactive (videos, quizzes, etc.) and not just static readings. has anyone had success with this and can share a tutorial or their page?

Hi there, @GregGundersen ...
Are you wanting to look at some orientations to Canvas to add to your modules for your students to view? If so, I have a couple suggestions for you:
- There is a short set of video tutorials here in the Community for your students that will take them through the basics of Canvas. Check out this link: Getting Started with Canvas as a Student [Videos] - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com).
- Do you have access to Canvas Commons? (You would see a "Commons" icon on the far left-hand side global navigation menu when you are signed in to Canvas. In Commons, you can search for keywords (try something like "Canvas Orientation" without the quotation marks). When I searched for those two words, I got over 250 search results that other Canvas people from all over the world have shared to the Commons repository. You should be able to click on those and preview the content before you would import the content into your own course(s).
If these aren't the kinds of examples you were looking for, can you please provide some more detail for Community members so that they can share their own examples that might be of help? Thanks much!
