Strand: Algebraic reasoning. The student applies mathematical process standards to identify and apply number patterns within properties of numbers and operations in order to describe relationships.

Student Expectation: determine whether a number up to 40 is even or odd using pairings of objects to represent the number

  1. What unit could you use to measure how long your desk is? (Inches, centimeters, feet, etc.)
  2. What unit do we use to measure area? Circle one:

inches, square inches, minutes.

  1. Which tool would you use to measure time? Circle one:

 ruler, clock, calendar.

  1. A rectangle has a length of 6 units and a width of 4 units. What is its area in square units?
