grading assessments

I have been using speed grader in canvas to mark my students documents- I use the tools to put checkmarks and comments on the document. I just realized now that students can't see any of the marks on their documents. They can see the comments, but no marks. What am I doing wrong? How can I correct this?

Hi @LisaVielma,

If you have been following the guidance in the  How do I add annotated comments in student submiss... - Instructure Community - 694  support article, your students would use either of the support articles below (which one will depend on whether or not you are using the optional "Assignment Enhancements" feature):

You can test if this helps you by temporarily using the "View as Student" feature (How do I view a course as a test student using Student View? - Instructure Community - 1122 ) to upload a file as a submission to an assignment and then leave annotated feedback.  After leaving the feedback, you could use the "View as Student" feature again to view the feedback.

Are students able to go through all of these steps on an ipad?

I'm confused as to why this has changed as the immediate "hand-written" feedback was easy for kids to see in the past.
