As an instructor, I am giving weekly performance grades to 6 students. Each student has their own rubric.
Do I set this up as an assignment to an individual student even though students aren't turning anything in? If it's an assignment, will it alert each student every week it's "due?" I don't want them bombarded with assignment notifications.

@GaryWolverton It would be an assignment if you want to attach a grade/points to it. You would just create it as an assignment and select "No Submission" as the type. This creates a column in the gradebook but will not look for anything to be submitted. If you add a due date, which is not a requirement, Canvas will add it to students' to-do list and show on their calendars but if you do not add a due date, they will not have these reminders.
Hope this helps!
