my class isn't showing up on my dashboard

my class on canvas isn't showing up on my dashboard, the class started in august and one day while I was doing homework it disappeared. its been 2 weeks and no ones been able to help me. does anyone know why?

I do feel for you  @rebeca924638 . I had a look at your school's Canvas information here YCCD - Canvas and their suggestion if Canvas support is required is to use the chat function.

It's great that your school has invested in this as when you are in the chat your agent will be able to act as you and figure out what's going on.

This is what you do:

  • In the bottom left hand side of your screen is a Help button. (Looks like a big question mark in a circle)
  • Click on that
  • This will show a menu of help options
  • Select Chat with Canvas Support
  • Click Start Chat

Your agent will be with you pretty quickly and probably ask for the URL of your course to gain access. 

Fingers crossed they will be able to get to the bottom of it.

Hi  @rebeca924638  Thank You for your question.

This sounds a bit distressing for you.

The first thing I would like you to check is 'All Courses' it might be hiding in there. 

  • Go to Courses in the left hand side Global navigation Menu
  • Then scroll right down until you see All Courses
  • Then all of the courses you are enrolled in will appear. Hopefully your missing course is in this list. 
  • These will have a star on the left hand side of each one
  • Click on the star for each course you would like to appear on your Dashboard.

Hi, yes I am very stressed out about this because I am almost 3 weeks behind my class. I tried following your instructions and my class does show up but it does not let me click on the star. do you know if there's anyone who can fix this? i've already tried sending messages to canvas and my professor but I haven't gotten any replies from them. thank you so much for your help

I'm sorry I just rechecked and his class actually isn't listed in all my courses, it seems to be another class. if his class isn't there does that mean he unpublished the class?
