retain a quiz that was mistakenly replaced

Hi

As soon as my students finished answering a quiz, I mistakenly made a spare copy in the same place. But unfortunately, I lost all the data after copying it in the same place. 

My question: Is there any tool or trick to retrieve the old quiz, the same way we retrieve the deleted items?

I really appreciate your help in this regard.
