rules for assignment

i have one rule in my assignment which is to drop the lowest grade.  I want to add another rule whereby students who turn in an optional project can drop 3 additional lowest grades.  Can this be done?

I'm sorry. The Canvas gradebook does not do that automatically.

You will have to do a lot of manual tinkering with each student's grade to make that work.

thank you for your response.  I exported the gradebook to excel.  Excel will replace the 3 grades with the same grade as the assignment.  After that I will upload the gradebook to Canvas.
