student number in speedgrader vs name

Somehow my students in speedgrader are listed by number, not name (for a quiz specifically).  How do I get the names back?

Jodi, do you mean like a student ID number, or like Student 1, Student 2, etc?  If it's the later, it probably means in speedgrader you've enabled the option to hide student names.  To change this, in Speedgrader click the gear icon in the upper left corner and select Options.  There will be a check box where you can enable or disable this option.

If it's really showing like an ID number I have no idea, but i suggest you contact your local Canvas admins to take a look.
