Is there a way to move a Canvas studio video to a course from my own collection?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi @oneilllj ...
ok...so what I can tell you is that videos located in your Studio "library" are not technically stored in a course. Videos that you add to your Studio "library" are stored on a Studio streaming server. (You can also add video links from YouTube and/or Vimeo to your Studio library as well.) You can create "Collections" (similar to folders) within your Studio interface that would have the same name as your course...if that is of interest to you. For example, if you had two sections of an "Art History" course this semester, you could create a Collection folder called "Art History" and put any related videos into that Collection folder. You would only need to upload one instance of the video into that folder because you can then embed the video as many times as you want into as many courses as needed. So, if you had three "Art History" sections this semester, you could embed the video three times...once in each section. Studio knows that you've embedded the video into those three sections, and you can look at the "Insights" to see if students are watching the video and which parts they are watching and/or skipping over. Here are some Guides that might be of help to you:
I hope one or more of these Guides will be helpful to you. Sing out if you have more questions about this...thanks!
Hi @oneilllj ...
I'm not sure I'm completely understanding your question about Studio videos and moving it to a course from your own collection. Can you please expand on your question to provide a bit more detail? Thanks!
I would like to move the Canvas video in my collection and have is saved or set up under a specific course.
