Correcting quizzes for future semesters

Good evening,
Unlike quizzes within Canvas, I understand that instructors cannot correct errors in Canvas Studio quizzes on the fly. In other words, if an answer key is incorrect, the instructor would need to grade the quiz manually. Additionally, there are posts to this community encouraging Canvas to allow automatic regrading of quizzes if the multiple-choice answer was accidentally incorrect in the key.
How do I fix the correct answer in a multiple-choice Canvas Studio quiz for future semesters? If it is impossible to edit the instance of the quiz that students see in a specific Canvas course section, then I would assume that if I fix the answer key in the quiz with Canvas Studio, next semester, the students should not be marked incorrect for choosing the correct answer. Unfortunately, fixing the answer key within Canvas Studio will never change the correct answer in the quiz the students take in future semesters, which I do not understand.
For example, I copied a Canvas course on May 10 for use this summer. A student messaged me this week that the answer key was wrong in one of the Canvas Studio quizzes. I went to Canvas Studio and the specific video with the quiz. The answer key was correct. Then, I went to the Canvas class as a student. I took the quiz and was marked wrong for answering the correct answer I saw in Canvas Studio.
Another example would be if I wanted to change the numbers in a quiz each semester. How would I do so? It appears that any changes in the content within Canvas Studio do not affect what the students will see in the Canvas LMS, which is perplexing. If Canvas Studio quizzes cannot be edited within the Canvas LMS, I would assume that when copying a Canvas course, the LMS will pull the quiz and video content from Canvas Studio.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
