Aloha all!
What I want seems simple enough, and it was possible before my university switched from Panopto to Studio. I just want to place links to relevant videos, housed in Studio, within the text field of assignments, pages, announcements, or other text areas. For example:
"Watch this video to understand how f-stops change depth of field."
I do not want to embed a video. That, I can do! But it's not what I need.
Mahalo!

Hi @ThomasGalli ...
If you do not want to embed but rather just make a link, you'll want to grab the public link for a particular video in your Studio library. Here's a Guide on how to do that:
How do I get a public link or embed code for media... - Instructure Community - 1712 (canvaslms.com)
Hope this helps!
I have found a way to do it, but I am SO hoping there's a better method! It involves embedding a video (with both Basic and ADvanced options OFF), then opening the options for that embedded video. WIthin the options, I can toggle between embedded video or link, which gives me a link using the filename as the text. Then, I can click the link, open its options, and replace the filename with the text I want. It's tedious and clumsy, but at least it works.
Please tell me there's a better way! Demo recorded below.

@ThomasGalli ...
Are you wanting to view the "Insights" of videos in your Studio library to know which of your students are watching your videos and which parts of those videos your students are watching (and which parts they might be skipping over)? If so, embedding videos is really the way to go (IMHO). There is a way to harvest a "public" URL for each of your videos that you could use to link in text (like in your example), but that will not give you the "Insights" to those videos (if that is of interest to you).
Looking forward to hearing more from you on how you are wanting to use your Studio videos.
Aloha Chris!
For this purpose, I have no interest in the Insights (although that's good to know!). I want to avoid embedding and use links.
Mahalo,
