Have any other school districts that purchase Canvas Studio heard of any users seeing Youtube Ads again when they add a Youtube video to Studio?

The last time we had this issue - Admins and Canvas support could not replicate the issue.  But the teachers sent us footage of the issue in action.

The  notes below were last updated in September 2025.

Hi @AEstevill,

Have your users:

  1. added the YouTube videos to their Canvas Studio library as documented in the  How do I add media from YouTube and Vimeo in my Studio account? - Instructure Community - 487670  support article and then added the library item to something (such as a Canvas page) as documented in the  How do I use Canvas Studio through the Rich Content Editor in Canvas? - Instructure Community - 171... support article
  2. migrated previously embedded YouTube videos by using the YouTube to Canvas Studio migration tool as documented in the  How do I migrate embedded YouTube videos in Canvas to Studio content for distraction-free viewing? ...support article
  3. added the YouTube videos by creating a link as documented in the  How do I create hyperlinks to external URLs in the Rich Content Editor? - Instructure Community - 6... support article
  4. added the YouTube videos by using the YouTube tool that is in the RCE as documented in the  How do I link to or embed a YouTube video in the Rich Content Editor? - Instructure Community - 618...support article

If your users are using either "A" or "B", there should not be any problems.

If your users are using either "C" or "D", the YouTube videos will/could have ads from YouTube.
