The most recent update to Canvas Studio (Studio Release Notes (2025-04-24)) has created a problem with my video quizzes.
I have set all my video quizzes to hide the question marks because I don't want the student to skip to the quesions. After the most recent update all the question marks are visible and I can't get rid of them.
I have tried creating new assignments and toggling the hide question marks feature in the video quiz in the Studio library before adding it to the new assignment, but nothing seems to work. The question marks are always visible.
Anyone else have this problem?
Yes! We have a faculty member who is having same issue with Canvas Studio not hiding quiz question markers on timeline.
Our campus support team was glad to find this post on a Canvas Studio known issue - we had tried everything to find a solution. As this issue is likely impacting other faculty on my campus (who prefer to hide the quizzes in their Canvas Video), we look forward to a timely solution from the Canvas.
I haven't had this exact problem (because I'm not hiding the question markers), but I no longer see the "circles" for selecting an answer or Shuffling Choices. (See the screenshot.) I can use the space bar on the keyboard to check the "Shuffle Choices" option, but I have to guess when I've tabbed to the correct place to do so.
My students are having the same problem as well.
Do you know if there's a way we can raise the concern directly to the team who provided the most recent release, so they can fix the issues caused by that update? Or at least raise the concern with any team quickly so we're not just waiting for them to read this message board?
I don't know how to do that since I am new to this board. If anyone knows how to communicate directly with the Instructure folks that would be greatly appreciated.
I communicated our problem to our district tech tosa and he notified the Instructure team directly. They told him that they are aware of the problems and are working on a solution. They said it "should be fixed shortly."
Excellent! Thx for the update.
