PeopleSoft and Canvas Integration

Hi,

We, San Jose State University, are trying to implement Canvas and PeopleSoft Campus Solutions integration.

Requirement: When teachers/faculties clicks on 'Publish to SIS' on Canvas LMS, it should publish the grades to PeopleSoft automatically.

Can somebody give me your inputs/ thoughts?

Has anybody implemented this?

Hello Yoga,

Have you found out any information about this? It looks like we, University of Nevada, Reno, might be also implementing this integration. Have you found out what needs to occur on the Canvas Admin end/ instructor end?

Hi Kari,

We've few things to try out like using RESTful service. I'm closely working with our Chancellor's office on this.

Hi Yoga, 

Sonoma State has adopted Canvas and I am researching our options for pushing grades from Canvas to Peoplesoft.  Have you had any success? I would love to connect and find out what you have tried and what considerations we should be aware of.

 @gouldjo ‌ and  @dtod ‌ we were able to create the grade integration. I am still waiting for IT to put the package together of the Peoplesoft changes. Thank you Kari for posting this information! It sounds like we are unlikely to attempt this integration for Spring 19, but I will look into your documentation so see how you approached this! Ah, the Canvas community is so generous. Thanks again. Joel

Yoga, you posted in 2016, did you all ever get anything working with the CO?

Joel, what is Sonoma's timeline?  Do you know of any other CSUs also doing this?  Would love to collaborate!

Kari, would you all be willing to share your PeopleSoft setups/PeopleCode and what you all have done in Canvas?

 @yogachokkan ,  @kari ,  @gouldjo , hbaum,  @dtod  - Here at Queen's University Belfast we also use PeopleSoft ans would definitely be interested in learning about each of your practices/experience. Ultimately, our end goal would probably be for Canvas to pass all assignment grades to PeopleSoft not just the total score but understand that this is not an easy ask.
