Hello, I am new to canvas LMS FFT. I just started using it a couple of days ago and find it extremely slow sometimes. So slow that it can take 2-3 minutes to load a page. Is it the free version is this way or just a one time thing. I am not based in US.
Thanks

Hi @tno5 ,
Thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!
If you are experiencing issues with content loading on Canvas within a reasonable amount of time, I recommend ensuring you're connected to a wifi network, and that you also close any apps you don't need running. This will allow your load time to decrease, allowing the platform to run quicker.
In addition to that, always feel free to reach out to Canvas support via the help tab of your Canvas account's global navigation bar. You can do this by going to Help > Report a Problem and explain the issue that you are experiencing. They will be able to assist you further from there.
I hope this helps, all the best!

Welcome to Canvas LMS! It can be frustrating to experience slow loading times, especially when you're just getting started. While the performance can vary based on several factors, it's not necessarily tied to the free version itself. Sometimes, it could be due to network issues, server load, or even your geographic location affecting connectivity.

Experiencing slow loading times on Canvas LMS can be frustrating. Here are a few factors that might contribute to the issue:
Server Load: If many users are accessing the platform at the same time, it can slow down response times.
Internet Connection: A slow or unstable internet connection on your end can significantly affect loading times.
Browser Compatibility: Sometimes, certain browsers work better with Canvas than others. Try using a different browser or clearing your cache.
Free Version Limitations: While the free version may have some limitations compared to paid plans, performance issues like slow loading times are often more related to server load and internet connectivity.
Geographical Location: Being outside the US might affect your connection speed depending on the server's location and your internet service provider.
If the slowness continues, consider reaching out to Canvas support for assistance or checking their status page for any ongoing issues.
