Just made a new account would like to make a student account to test without using student view

As the title says I want to make a testing student account so I can see grades and quizzes. I can't make a student account without join code and I don't have "observer" under my profile to make an observer code I need help I'm lost

Are you an instructor of a Canvas course? If so, just click on "Student View." Then, you will be able to see what your students can see, You'll also be able to submit assignments, take quizzes, and participate in discussions as a "Test Student." Within "Student View," you'll see how the grades and/or feedback for your Test Student.

O.K. Just rereading your title. Why don't you want to use Student View? What else are you trying to do that you can't already do within Student View?

What I'm trying to do is simulate seeing my "grades" and taking tests but I can't seem to even make a student account before I add some students. I'm not part of a real school I just want to use canvas as a teaching website but how can I make my students create an account and use canvas when I myself can't make a student account. I can't even makes "grades" or "quizzes" visible. They are both disabled and I've gone to the featured options tab to enable them but the website doesn't let me.

Are you using Free for Teacher or does your institution or school have an account with Canvas? If this is on the open source (FFT) version of Canvas, you'd need another email first and make an account as you have before. Once the account is made with another email address, you should be able to go to the people tab in your course. Click + people in the top right corner and add the student via email address. Then, log into your "student" email and accept the invitation. You can login Canvas with this account and complete work as a student. Hopefully this helps.
