Linking FFT to another institution

Good afternoon Community,

I have an Free For Teachers (FFT) account, in which I have a few courses. I would like to link / share / integrate these courses with another institution. I do not wish to extract-and-copy for various logistic reasons and the fact that I frequently make changes as the semesters proceed.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi @WarnerDCunha,

As far as I know, this is unfortunately not possible.  The "Free For Teacher" Canvas instance in standalone and available globally.  Individual institution/school instances are usually managed locally, and while there are options to link those instances together, it wouldn't be possible with Free For Teacher because of it's global open nature.  You could just link students to the Free For Teacher version, but it will probably create confusion around signin and your local eLearning / IT / Digital Education teams may not like that approach either for data access and security reasons.  I would recommend reaching out to your local Canvas team for their advice around this question.
