Quiz Logs

I have followed the instructions, but I cannot see the Quiz Logs for my students. I just don't have a button that says 'view log,' where it is supposed to be.

If your school uses a paid canvas institution, it is possible that they do not have that feature enabled. If that is the case, you do have have access to quiz audit logs. I'd recommend that you reach out to your school's administration or I.T. department for more information.

If you are using the free for teacher edition, you should be able to view quiz logs, especially after a student begins taking a test.

I've never had this problem, but could it be that your screen settings are not wide enough? I see the "View Log" link to the right of the quiz title when I'm using SpeedGrader and I'm grading a specific student's quiz.

Hi,

I am the Admin for our small school, I followed the Official Guide for more info and found the Audit Log giving information on all students in one science course, but when I checked all the other courses, there is No Log info. It is Blank.

It states: "There were no events logged during the quiz-taking session."

I checked my All-school settings and each course setting. All of them have enabled correctly clicked.

I thought it might be related to the setting in quiz "Let Students See Their Quiz Responses (Incorrect Questions Will Be Marked in Student Feedback)". But that did not allow any events to be recorded.

Any explanation for this? I am going to post this question on the forum too. In case you are busy.

Thanks for your comment! Allowing students to see their quiz results after they take the quiz does not determine if you have access to quiz logs or not.

Have the quizzes you are looking for the logs for been taken by the students already, prior to you turning this setting on? If that’s the case, then the logs will not be available, as the setting was not enabled for your courses when the students took the quizzes. It should automatically work for the new quizzes that are created and taken after this setting has been turned on.
