Setting up an Admin account for a developer

Hello,

We are a content developer and have been using the free version of Canvas to test LTI 1.1 integrations with our website for several years. We are now transitioning to LTI 1.3 and would like to test it in Canvas. It appears that registering an LTI 1.3 Developer Key requires an Admin-level account. Could Someone please let us know how we can obtain an account with Admin privileges for testing purposes?

Hi there @eshahmir ,

Unfortunately, Free for Teacher does not provide admin-level access to users as it is a free service intended to be used by anyone looking to explore Canvas, or create free courses. In order to obtain admin access, you will need to get in contact with the sales team to get your own instance, or you can always set up the open-source version of Canvas on your own server.

You can learn more about the comparisons here: Canvas Account Comparison

All the best to you!

It is required as you need access to create Developer Keys. That is only available to account administrators with permissions set to create Developer Keys.
