Hello Instructure Community,
I wanted to make my course public, but it displayed a message telling me to contact my administrator if I want to publicize it. I'd like to know who is the administrator for Canvas Free for Teachers?
Sincerely,
Callie

Hi @CallieAlreza,
While I believe there are a few people who watch over the Free for teacher environment for issues, it's mostly a what you see if what is available type of thing, and not all Canvas features will be available there. Specifically for making courses public, the Canvas Free-for-Teacher FAQ does say you can contact Canvas support, but I don't know if there are other requirements or anything.
I hope this helps!

Hi @CallieAlreza ,
@chriscas is correct. There are a few members from the product team that oversee the Free for Teacher Canvas environments.
If you need to make your course public, please utilize the "Help" button on the gray global navigation bar (on the left-hand side of the page) and utilize the "Report a Problem" link and fill out the form explaining you would like to make your course public. Due to issues in the past, teachers can no longer make their courses public on the Free for Teacher environment without assistance from a Canvas employee.
I also wanted to include that there is no live chat or phone number for support with Free for Teacher. Those support-tiers are only available to institutions that pay for Canvas and add that on as a subscription. The employees who assist with managing the FFT instance only provide basic support which includes resetting passwords, deleting accounts, restoring courses and adjusting the course visibility (your scenario), so you should satisfy all the requirements for them to assist you.
I hope this information is also helpful! If you still require assistance, feel free to come back and let us know.

Do I need to provide the link to the course I want to publicize? Sorry for not seeing this sooner.
I would recommend doing that, yep!
