Microsoft Teams Integration

I am one of the Canvas admins at my school. We have been using Zoom for our hybrid courses where some students are in the classroom and others online. However, since we already have a Microsoft 365 education license we are strongly considering using Teams instead.

How many of you are using Teams just for setting up meetings and recording class sessions? Has that worked well for you? Have some of you set up the Teams integration to use other features--the Teams class, assignments, and grade book? Are your faculty using Teams to encourage student collaboration?

It seems to me that the Teams assignments and grade book are redundant since Canvas already has these tools that are better. It seems to me that these tools were created for use by K-12 schools who might not have an LMS.

So, I am just interested in what parts of Teams meetings integration you are using and how it is going with your faculty.
