Taking notes

Hi everyone,

We have recently moved to Canvas after using printed workbooks and PowerPoint presentations for many years.  The feedback from students is that they love Canvas but miss the printed workbooks, because they like to add notes to the information presented.  Is there a way students can annotate onto Canvas or add notes anywhere?  I understand they can do this in the Big Blue button, but this means it's seen by everyone, rather than it being private to them.

An thoughts?
