Using the New RCE: A way for video and audio file uploads to be viewable by offline students

We are able to get PDF, Files, PPT and images etc. to work but not audio and video.
 
This is the HTML with the old RCE that works for the offline download.

This is the HTML with the New RCE that does not work for offline export.

The old embeds a link to download and the new uses an iFrame to a web player.

In the meantime, have you tried replacing the new html with the old?  Just as a workaround?

I haven't tried that, but would that mean asking every teacher to do that for every video and audio file?

We have a large percentage of offline students- it would affect all of our teachers, not an isolated area. And, it works seamlessly with the old RCE- which is what we are using now.

As part of the new Ideas & Themes process, all ideas in Idea Conversations were reviewed by the Product Team. Any Idea that was associated with an identified theme was moved to the new Idea & Themes space. Any Idea that was not part of the move is being marked as Archived. This will preserve the history of the conversations while also letting Community members know that Instructure will not explore the request at this time.
