Google Assignments Learning Tool Interoperability (LTI) 1.3 has replaced legacy Google Apps LTI integration to streamline learning and teaching processes, enhance collaboration, and improve user experience within Canvas.

Start utilizing Google Assignments LTI 1.3 to help elevate the creation, management, and evaluation of assignments in Canvas. Instructors and Students are now able to collaborate in a variety of Google Drive items, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, Forms, Jamboards, and Drawing.

Migration to 1.3 will also be required if instructors want to continue to utilize existing Google documents in Assignments. Impact can help facilitate this as well as provide data insights on it.

Based on the tool adoption outcomes from the initial campaign, you can target specific user groups according to their need for further support. For example, you can launch a more targeted campaign to increase adoption of online assessment tools only among the users who need further guidance, without causing repetition and cognitive overload to those instructors who are already onboard.
