Content release notes outline the new and updated Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) Impact Content that is displayed inside your Impact Dashboard. This includes OOTB Campaigns, Monitors, Monitor Categories/Reporting Templates, Contexts, and Support Center.

Unless otherwise stated, all content in this release is available in the Production environment on 2025-08-12.

Canvas Release of August 16th, 2025

Launching the Canvas release campaign provides users with updates and new features in Canvas.

Note: The Canvas Release campaign will be available on August 16th.

Monitors and Contexts

Smart Search

Smart search monitors and contexts are created as part of August Canvas release. This content can be accessed when the Smart search tool category is turned to visible.

Monitor Categories/Reporting Templates

Integrated Tools Report

The Integrated Tools report is renamed to LTI Adoption.

LTI Launch Only Monitors

All LTI Launch only monitors are moved under the Legacy LTI monitors (Launch only) monitor category inside the LTI Adoption Report. This change only addresses Out-of-the-Box launch only monitors; no locally created monitors for homegrown tools or redirects are affected. This update ensures a more streamlined and comprehensive approach to monitoring LTI tool usage empowering users with better tools for decision making and engagement.

Smart Search Monitors

The following new monitor categories have been added to the Instructor and Student Smart Search reports:

Support

Research Support Category

Instructure is launching a research initiative to better understand how instructors use Impact’s in-app messages, walkthroughs, and support tools in Canvas. K-12 and Higher Education educators/instructors are invited to complete a short survey by August 31, 2025, sharing how these tools support their teaching. Impact Admins can help by promoting the survey using a pre-built campaign in the Impact Campaign Library.
