Gamification for Student Engagement

In order to make academic writing more accessible and engaging in a required English course, I gamified it, using Badgr and MasteryPaths. Students became “interns” at an academic magazine, blending real-world experience with the acquisition of basic writing and editing skills. The result was producing their own academic magazine.
