Abstract / Session Overview
Presenters will discuss CU Boulder's Academic Technology Consultants, a small group of graduate student employees that train instructors on how to use Canvas, focusing on lessons learned in developing consultants' technical and pedagogical expertise. We will share how a small, low-resource team can make significant impacts to an institution.
Details
- The landscape of educational technology support and adoption continues to change post-pandemic, and teaching staff need extra assistance to keep up.
- A small, well-trained student consulting group can lend impactful support to general training & support efforts, as well as targeted strategic initiatives.
- Staffing this support group requires skills not always associated with technology support, and a thorough onboarding process is key to success.
