Anyone else not seeing the edit button on PDFs in the Canvas app on iPads anymore?

Canvas provided the following info and suggestion, which worked for us:

"This may be related to some misbehavior we ran into last week regarding files linking properly. You may want to try re-linking the file, and the students may be able to annotate properly."

They also advised clearing the cache on the teacher's web browser if the teacher was unable to link images/files, so we did that just to be safe.

Hi mforbes_bsd‌ ~ I hope that this is an isolated incident with the PDFs, but to make sure, I'm going to share this with https://community.canvaslms.com/groups/cmug?sr=search&searchId=acb2baab-692d-4d9a-96de-a50e80724aea&...‌ and https://community.canvaslms.com/groups/1-to-1-initiatives?sr=search&searchId=1bbed535-d414-4e67-aaf3...‌. I'm also going to have this question appear in https://community.canvaslms.com/community/answers?sr=search&searchId=9618508f-c6bd-4ad3-ab74-cd605be...‌. With those mentions, I hope that we can get more Community Members to reply. Smiley Happy

We are seeing this as well with our students using the iOS app.

We are looking to offer iPads to students in HS math courses and were wanting to use this feature as a way to hook our staff/students into using more "paperless" assignments.  Not being able to annotate a .pdf definitetly throws a wrench into our plans.

When testing the feature, I thought I was creating/publishing the assignments wrong or something.  Glad it's not just me.  I'll be checking back to see if there are possible solutions that I haven't tried.  Thanks for bringing up this question!
