[OPEN]Members of concluded courses groups still show up in the users filter of the address book when composing a message

Description

  • If a course is hard concluded a student in a group associated to that course can still send inbox messages to other members in the group through the address books “users” option.

    • The logic seems to properly be disabling the course from showing up in the address book to filter for group members, but going to the users filter directly shows the group members still.

Expected Behavior

Concluded groups shouldn’t be able to send messages through the inbox to other students in the group.

  • The users filter on the address book should not show group members which are not in the group/course context filter due to their conclusion

Workaround

No workaround exists at this time.

Steps to Reproduce

Prereq: Students enrolled in a hard-concluded course with a shared group membership in the same group.

  1. Act as a student in the group.

  2. Navigate to the inbox and compose a message.

  3. Select users from the TO field and notice you can see other members of your group.
