The Instructure Community will enter a read-only state on November 22, 2025 as we prepare to migrate to our new Community platform in early December. Read our blog post for more info about this change.

This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 1/8/25.
In the iOS Student app, grades for concluded courses (manually or soft-concluded by date) display a message stating "Total grades are restricted." This behavior does not occur on desktop, where grades are displayed correctly. Course settings confirm that "Hide totals in student grades summary" is not checked.
The grades for concluded courses should be visible to students on the iOS Student app, matching the desktop experience.
No workaround exists at this time.
Prerequisites: Create a course, add a student, add content and grade, then set the course to a concluded term.
Open the iOS Student app.
Navigate to the dashboard.
Select the course "11405767_Mobile_Grades."
Go to the "Grades" section.
Observe that the message "Total grades are restricted" appears.
