In this Mastery Connect release (July 1), instructors can create a new tracker from one of their created or shared curriculum maps from the trackers list.

Create New Tracker from Curriculum Map
Instructors can create a new tracker from a curriculum map that they have created or has been shared with them from the trackers list. This update streamlines the tracker creation process and reduces mistakes made during the process. Previously, creating a tracker from a curriculum map required instructors to start from the Curriculum Maps Index page.
When creating a new tracker from the tracker index page, instructors can select to create the tracker from a standard set or via the curriculum map.
If the curriculum map option is selected, instructors can select any map they have created, are collaborating on, or has been shared with them.
Once a map is selected, instructors can finalize details of the new tracker and the map they chose.
