Change Point Value From Item Bank

Is there a way to change the point value of questions from the Mastery Item Bank? For example, if I wanted to make the last few questions of an assignment a "pretest" and make their values zero, could I do that with questions from the Mastery Item Bank?

You are not able to change items or point values of questions in the Mastery Item Bank.

What!?  I have a big issue - My original question, a matching question, is worth 8 points in my ORIGINAL question.  When I went to the test bank to use it, it now shows as worth 1 point.  THAT is not good.  I believe that I SHOULD be able to change it.  How do I reach a Canvas developer to address this.  Sorry - but I cannot accept that changing point values is NOT possible is not okay.  At least clarification about this would be useful.
