Canvas Quizzes Unable to Open. Error Code "Couldn't find valid settings for this link"

I see that every multiple choice assignment I created under the Canvas Quiz option does not open and is giving the error code that says “couldn’t find valid settings for this link”. I can’t even open the assignment under “build” to look at it or print a hard copy. On Friday 10-31-25 it went down. All of the Math test on the 7th grade hallway worked during 1st block but after that no students could access it and when they click on the assignment it takes them to the home page and gives them the error code. I worked really hard making assignments for every lesson for every chapter and now the students and I cannot access them. Other teachers on the hallway said they did not have access to their assignments either.  I was hoping it would be fixed over the weekend but I just checked and I still don’t have access. Have you heard anything about this or do you know who can be contacted to fix this issue?

Hi @NefertitiFields,

It definitely sounds like some settings aren't configured correctly anymore in your Canvas for some reason.  Unfortunately, this is probably something your school/district Canvas admin is going to need to work on themselves or with their Instructure CSM to fix, not something we'll be much help with here in the community.  I tried to google for help contacts for you, but all I really came up with was a statement to contact your school.  I guess at this point that is where I'd point you to start with, maybe contact the IT department at your school/district to report this and hopefully they can then work to get it resolved.

I hope this info helps, even though I know it's not a complete solution.
