Double spacing reverts to single, requires manual double-double spacing

I would be lovely if the spacing issue in New Quizzes could be fixed. It looks fine in the typing box, but then the spacing around the hard returns goes away. It's frustrating and a poor use of time to have to go back in and add spaces to every hard return. This is only an issue in New Quizzes, as far as I can tell.

I totally agree. I have been hesitate to add an extra return because when they hopefully fix this, I won't have to go back and delete.

I know, I've thought about that part of it too. For all the usefulness of Canvas, it seems to triple my work.

Yes, please, correct the code so that hard returns show up as double space.  We care about how our content is presented to students - especially those who have challenges with reading.  The breaks between paragraphs make it so much easier to read.
