I would like to be able to assign fudge points to a quiz ("new quizzes") for the entire class at once (instead of doing it one student at a time). I would do this when a question was too hard for the class (e.g., most got it incorrect), and I wanted to just give everyone an extra point. This would also have the effect of giving an "extra credit" point to those that got it correct.
Alternatively, I would also be happy to be able to just lower the possible score for the entire class, but it appears that is not an option in Canvas. This alternate option would also have the effect of giving an "extra credit" point to those that got it correct.
I know I could delete the question and regrade, but I'd rather not do that.
I would also be happy to have an option to make a quiz question extra credit after everyone has taken it, but from what I've read, that is not an option in Canvas either.
TIA for any suggestions!
Mike

Following is a possibility - although not an ideal solution. It does make it quick and easy to add the points to the entire class.
If you use assignment groups, then you might be able to just create an assignment worth 0 points in your quiz group. Then give everyone a default grade of the fudge points you desire. That will in effect add that many points to their point total in the group without changing the total points possible in the group.
I would suggest that you try it out and work through the math for a student to see if it works the way you want.

Yes, not ideal because it means more columns in the gradebook, more to explain and more confusion for students...folks have been asking about this since at least 2019. I hope this is a feature Canvas will add.
