New Quizzes "Copying Assignment" message when copying from sandbox course into rostered course

I am trying to copy a new quiz from my sandbox to my rostered course for students.  When copying, it appears to copy correctly and is located in the module where I copied it to.  However, student's can't access it.  When I click on "build" I get a message that says "copying assignment" that never goes away.  I have tried renaming the quiz in my sandbox and trying again, and I get the same message.  Now I am experiencing the same thing with another quiz that I created in my sandbox just a few days ago.  Is there anything I can do to get my quizzes to copy?

I have tried all of the potential solutions suggested by others, including copying to the sandbox, but nothing has worked.  I had a false sense of security...it appeared that items copied correctly, only to discover that these items cannot be accessed.  HELP!

I have tried everything as well including copying to, etc.  I had a faculty member report this on Tuesday which coincides with this original post.  Was there an update that caused this to break?

Canvas support says to duplicate the new quiz in the original course, then use the copy to feature to send it to the course you are teaching.  I am unsure if this is a system wide problem, this is the workaround or what?

We are also experiencing this issue, but the new quiz is copied from Commons

After investigating my ticket, the canvas helpdesk informed me that this was a technical problem with my institution's setup of canvas and that they would have to fix the issue.  Now I get to wait on them...

Are you able to provide any more insight as what needed to be done by your institution?  I am on the admin side of our Canvas account and have teachers that are having the same issue.

Support will ask you to duplicate the quiz in the course you are copying from, and then use the "copy to" feature to recopy it but I'm still not sure why this continues to happen. We use master shells that we copy all of our content from each semester and one thing that has seemed to help is avoiding a "reset" of the master shell. Instead, we create a new shell to build or copy content to and delete the old shell. Why it helps...I'm not sure exactly. New Quizzes and the glitching is still a mystery to me.

Unfortunately not.  There was something about the way the courses were set up that required our admin and Canvas to work together to figure it out.  On my end it just magically started working again.
