QTI to New Quiz not compatible

Hi all,

We've been experimenting using AI to generate quizzes. We now have a working prototype that will generate a QTI file, which Canvas accepts. 

When importing this QTI file, there is a number of options when choosing the "default question bank". None of them are compatible with the opt-in button below these options, "Import existing quizzes as New Quizzes"

Can anyone tell me why?

The work around is to import the QTI file and then migrate the quiz, but as that can take a lot of time I'd say it would be preferable to just be able to import QTI files as new quizzes.

I think it is because New Quizzes do not have Question Banks, they have Item Banks and Canvas must not be set up yet to import into Item Banks when importing the QTI file. You can import a QTI file directly into an Item Bank though, if that helps?
