Why did the formatting in new quizzes change? Student view for questions with a left side stimulus is SQUISHED!

Something very recently changed in Canvas that is Squishing each stimulus in the student view to varying widths. It used to be constant. How can I format the width of the stimulus and/or the questions to the right of a stimulus in new quizzes? It looks fine when authoring the question, but very different and apparently arbitrary in the student view.  I have tried setting image or table pixel widths and reformatting the questions at the right, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Please suggest any help in this matter; it makes it very difficult for the student to see the appropriate information in the stimulus to use in the question.

It's a known issue (along with an accommodation issue in New Quizzes when they're timed). There's nothing you can do except have the stimulus set to have the questions below it. However, I would HIGHLY recommend that you put in a ticket with Canvas directly. The more tickets, the quicker the issue gets addressed.

Yes, I’ve noticed the same issue. I believe it started with the recent Canvas Studio update, and I’ve only encountered the issue with videos embedded in stimulus questions. To work around it, I’ve been editing my stimulus questions to place the questions below the stimulus instead of to the right of it. It’s a bit of extra, unnecessary work, and it would’ve been helpful to have a heads-up that this might happen. Plus, I would prefer to keep the questions to the right, so that students can tell which questions go with the stimulus. If this issue gets fixed, will we be notified? As of right now I am updating all my stimulus questions in all my classes... not ideal!
