I'm trying to migrate (after many years of using Canvas) to new quizzes, even though some of their question types don't support partial credit (Duh! Shame on Canvas! For so many no brainer issues!) I went to export, and then chose quizzes, and then picked several quizzes to export. It then downloads an export file (but stupidly, doesn't name the export file after the quiz name it is exported from; only by how many minutes ago it was exported). Then I have to download it. In my download file, again, all these export files have the same name except followed by 1, 2, 3 etc. Not by the name of the quiz, making it hard to know which one I'm using. Another total no brainer. See photos.
Then, I open a new "item bank" and name it, and import the export file. However, even though my export file was supposed to contain questions from 4 tests, it only contains questions from test #1. I tried this twice with the same results. In other words, even though while exporting, I can click on several quizzes to export, only one of them actually gets exported.
I hardly think it is worth it to even ask, given that there are so, so, so, so, so many clunky, no-brainer issues with so many parts of Canvas, that have not been fixed in over a decade. I do not exaggerate when I say that I have never worked with a more incompetent company, and I'm shocked that they are still in business and that they have so many customers. I guess because school admins do not actually use it. They just choose it. If teachers could choose our institutions' LMS, Canvas would go out of business.
