Hello @ChastityGist
Thanks for posting in the Community!
I understand you are wondering about course enrollments to earn a badge and I want to help.
Usually enrollments will be managed by the School or University you are attending. Some institutions offer Courses through their Course Catalog which are able to be self enrolled, and can be setup to award badges once students complete the Course.
Here are some guides for finding Courses in Canvas Catalog:
Enrolling in a Catalog course or program:

Completing registration:
https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Catalog/How-do-I-complete-my-registration-for-a-catalog-co...
As far as the Certificate of Completion inside Catalog, If your course or program included a certificate, you can view and download the certificate when you have completed the course or program.

If you are wondering about enrolling in any different types of courses, we would most likely refer to the institutions registrar, or your helpdesk for enrollment services.
Hope this helps!

Good evening Canvas Community,
I am by accident finding this community after searching for answers with the software. I think I have let time waste not realizing what Canvas is about and how I could use it in to my gain. How would one obtain a degree without having to go through a accredited college? Is there a way to access courses outside of the ones a student has paid for? It would be nice to explore and learn as much as possible. Does Canvas have any practice modules?
