Crossing list

After having done a cross- list, when I synchronize the gradebook I get this error.

Section 749194.0.S2B does not have a gradebook. The gradebook for each Section is created when the teacher first visits it or when the utility to mass create gradebooks is run.

Hi @JosueIrizarry-A ...

I don't know what system you are using to sync your Canvas Gradebook to, but I wonder if the issue is because when two or more courses are cross-listed together, the section number (and all enrollments) are moved from one course to another.  This might explain why your sync isn't happening the way you are hoping.  This is really a complete guess on my part, so I would defer to others here in the Community who might have some better insights for you.

@JosueIrizarry-A We can give better advice if you provide the student information system you're using.

However, it wouldn't hurt to try the following:

1) De-crosslist the section that's causing the error.

2) In the course that section got de-crosslisted to, perform a grade sync and check for any errors.

IF there are errors, I would suspect that something is not right in your SIS.

If there are no errors, try crosslisting again and see if the error goes away after a gradebook sync.
