We're thrilled to announce that an integration with the TEA’s new Ed-Fi based solution is arriving soon for Elevate Data Quality, enhancing ElevatePEIMS validations from the 2024-25 school year onwards.

Key Features:

Automated Acquisition through the Ed-Fi API

Gone are the days of manual XML file uploads! With EDQ’s integration with the Ed-Fi API, we will acquire your IODS data every night, to power ElevatePEIMS validations.

Daily ElevatePEIMS Scorecards

EDQ will now generate daily ElevatePEIMS Scorecards, providing a similar experience to the EDQ Rule Library. This significant improvement from the previous on-demand reports will ensure that you always have the most current data at your fingertips.

Upcoming ElevatePEIMS Rule Updates

We are also working on updating our ElevatePEIMS rules to the 2024-25 standards, rolled out in multiple phases, with the first release expected at the end of September. These updates will ensure that your validations are always in line with the official PEIMS rules and results.

How can you enable the new integration?

To enable the Ed-Fi based ElevatePEIMS solution, there are a few steps you'll need to take:

  • Provide read-only credentials (share key + secret) with a claim set for all IODS resources. (If you also populate any unrelated data into the IODS, you can exclude those resources from the claim set.)
  • Specify a 2-hour nightly window during which data acquisition can run.

Our team will reach out to you shortly to gather this information securely.

Transition Away from XML Uploads

Please note, with these advancements, the PEIMS file loader supporting XML uploads will not be updated to the 2024-25 standards. As we transition to more efficient solutions, support for XML uploads will be discontinued.

These updates will help enhance the efficiency and accuracy of your data management processes. We look forward to helping you transition smoothly to these new capabilities.

Stay tuned for further updates!

@ZsomborF

Generic question: Are we able to enter this information directly in our Elevate Data Quality account or will we need to provide it to you so you can enter it on our behalf? It seems like you will be reaching out to get this information so we cannot enter it ourselves. Please confirm.

Harmony Specific Question: We have 7 district that we need to connect to. Is the system capable of defining multiple sets of Key and Secret pairs? We are a single database for 7 districts.

Do we need to provide a key and secret to you all?

@JanlenWaclawczy Yes, we have sent out an email to all our Texas customers regarding the next steps.

@OsmanCizmeci You need to send us the credentials in a secure way - the details have been sent out in email, but let me know if you didn't receive it.

As for your second question, our automated sync pulls all the data that a given claim set allows us to do, so in this case you will need to generate 7 pairs of credentials: one for each district with the appropriate claim set to those districts' resources.
