I am totally new to REST API.  I have no idea how to start.  I have an issue that I need some help with. 

We are using the Attendance Roll Call tool.  I did my best to get the tool set up in all the Blueprints for Summer.  However, I came to realize that the setting for not including the Attendance Assignment in the final grade in the Blueprint did not transfer to the courses.  So, it seems I have some classes that are including the attendance assignment grade in the final grade.  Can someone help me with a REST API to change that setting in all my Summer classes?

I have been researching and even bought a REST book but am not sure where to start.
