We have numerous not-for-credit Canvas shells that need the self-enroll option, such as certain programs & counseling-related. For our new students, we have one that they self-enroll and have to complete certain steps, such as make a counseling appointment. The "teachers" in that shell want to be alerted by our 3rd party system (Starfish) if students do not meet all the requirements so we have a survey they complete, and any students who don't complete the survey would trigger an alert. However for Starfish alerts to work, there needs to be an SIS ID in the course shell, which then disables the self-enroll function. Has anyone ever dealt with this dilemma and is there a way to have BOTH options?
