Proposing an Idea to change the Assignment groups object

Either;

1 - Add an additional flag "lock" which defaults to "false". This could only be triggered via the Assignment Groups API.

When set to "true" the weight/name/grade are uneditable unless you have the following Account permission;
 - SIS Data Import
 - SIS Data Manage

2 - Assignment groups created by API are auto-locked unless impacted by an API call
Similar to CourseCode / SIS ID / Term etc when they are created via SIS import or API

 

Regardless of #1 / #2 - Teachers should still be able to move individual assignments to and from assignment groups, as well as still be able to create additional assignment groups.
