As currently configured, if I delete an Assignment (a quiz), Canvas also deletes the quiz from the course. This makes little sense to me. I should be able to have a quiz that I spent hours creating remain in the list of quizzes – perhaps in an “Unpublished” category. This quiz was a New Quiz and I am also unable to categorize that quiz as a practice quiz. I also can't reformat a New Quiz to Classic and can't export a New Quiz. Or, give instructors the option “delete assignment but keep quiz” – there is no such option currently.
See above. (1) Allow instructors to delete an Assignment while retaining the file or quiz that is linked to that Assignment. (2) There needs to be a way to reformat a New Quiz as a Classic Quiz. (3) Instructors should be able to export pieces of a course, not just classic quizzes or an entire course.
