Dr. Nichole Lemmon is the Director of Digital Learning for Springfield Public Schools. The Digital Learning Department supports districts from around the state of Missouri with virtual education options through Launch virtual courses. With over 60,000 online enrollments, Launch serves students in nearly 200 school districts with a comprehensive high school and middle school. With offices in Springfield, Kansas City, and St. Louis, Launch courses are designed, developed, and delivered by Missouri teachers, for Missouri Students.
Dr. Lemmon is passionate about equity in education and believes this is best achieved by providing all students with access to learning opportunities, no matter their zip code. Dr. Lemmon taught television production and English courses at Central High School for 12 years prior moving into her current position in 2012. Dr. Lemmon is a Springfield native, a graduate of Hillcrest High School, and Drury University. She earned her doctorate from Lindenwood University. Dr. Lemmon is a graduate of Leadership Springfield, Class 36 and was named 40 Under 40 by the Springfield Business Journal in 2019.
