This is happening in the new and old version of the gradebook in the individual student gradebooks. it is calculating a final grade, but it no longer shows the calculation for formative and summative. This was working fine before our winter break (Dec 20th).

Thank you Erin! Now if the instructor can manage these labels manually, how will that impact analytics? Before, an assignment that was given a manual grade, but still labeled as missing, would also show as missing in analytics. Does this mean that if there is a manual grade and no missing label, the assignment will not show as missing in analytics?

I would like to know if it is possible to hid the to do list from the student view. We are having an issue with some students clicking on the assignments from the to do list instead of following the order of the modules. It would be less confusing for our middle school students to see less on the homepage of their course. Thank you!

This idea has been developed and deployed to Canvas The newly released Teacher App allows teachers to manage their courses more efficiently from a mobile device. I would like to suggest the addition of a "To-Do" list on the dashboard of the teacher app that mirrors the To-Do list in the regular version. This would allow teachers to see a list of assignments that are waiting to be graded in their courses. Is it possible to integrate or embed activities from Gizmos (ExploreLearning Gizmos: Math & Science Simulations Powering Inquiry and Understanding ) into our Canvas courses? Most of their interactive math and science activities are HTML5 and would be extremely beneficial to our virtual students.

I have actually submitted an idea recently if you would like to vote up on it! When my teachers manually grade an assignment or mark it as "EX", the grade still shows as missing in the gradebook. It also messes up the analytics for that student. Analytics seem to be based on submissions and if the student didn't submit something, then it shows as missing. #missing #EX #manually graded #analytics https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/9426-manually-graded-or-ex-assignments-still-show-as-missing

This is happening to our teachers. If we manually enter a grade or enter "EX" for excused, the assignment shows as missing. Can we change it so that if there is an entry in the gradebook then this label does not come up? This seems to be logical to me. I am unsure of why the label of missing would make sense if there is an entry in the gradebook. This also has an effect on the analytics of the course and the teacher's ability to measure student progress. Thank you!!
