The "List View" on the Dashboard in the browser is by far the easiest way for students to see what work has been assigned in each class, what they've submitted, and what they need to turn in. By contrast, there is no List View option on the Dashboard in the iPadOS app -- the Dashboard instead has the card view on the left 1/3 of the screen and the right 2/3 is just empty. It would be EXTREMELY helpful to students using iPads if they could have an option for List View in the Dashboard in the iPadOS app. I know that the ToDo list in the app is intended to function in a similar way, but it lacks several of the benefits of the List View on the Dashboard: It doesn't give a holistic view of what work the student has done and what work is upcoming. It doesn't allow students to see previous assignments and easily check that they are submitted. It doesn't show what previous work is missing or late. It doesn't show the point value of upcoming assignments. Compare the ToDo list from the app (below, top) and the List View from the Dashboard in the browser (below, bottom) and it's clear why the List View is far superior and very helpful to students. Students working on iPads should have the same "big picture" view of their work as students laptops or desktops. Please add a List View option to the iPadOS app!

Agreed! This would be such a great feature. The Canvas Parent app leaves a lot to be desired and so our school has recommended that parents use the browser instead, but the lack of a "list view" option for parents is very frustrating.

Hi @khammond , thanks for the response! I think that the share your issuer directions will do just what I need. I'll try that out. Thanks so much!

This is such a great feature idea! A ton of my teachers are frustrated that they spend time commenting on students' work and it seems like students don't even look at the comments, which are essential for their future growth. This would be a hugely beneficial improvement!

Wow Gideon, this is great stuff! I've been working for a couple of months on an iPad Skills digital badging program for our 6th graders (as well as transfer students), as our grade 6-12 independent school is 1:1 with iPads. Similar to your line of thinking with Microsoft, I wanted to develop something for our students that's similar to the Apple Teacher program for teachers. My content is all in an iBook that'll be published in the Apple Book store, but the quizzes students have to take in order to earn their badges all happen in Canvas modules. I just found this post and what I've created for our students and what you've created for yours are actually quite similar! One question I have that I'm wondering if you (or maybe someone at Badgr) might know... I'd like to share my course to the Commons so the 6th grade teachers can import the modules into their courses (they will run the badging program for their Advisories). Can I just add them as Issuers for the badges I created in my course, and will those same badge just auto-assign once a student in that course meets the module requirements to earn the badge? Or do they have to create their own Badgr account and badges, then assign their badges to the modules they import into their courses?
