Melissa loves collaborating with clients to design learning experiences to engage learners, provide accessibility, and build a sense of community. Before landing her “dream job” with Canvas, Melissa taught for over twenty-seven years, holding positions as a secondary education English teacher and a K12 instructional technology specialist. Her love for learning and using technology to level the playing field has always been her passion, but when she started using Canvas in 2013, a new world opened up to her and the teachers she supported. Since 2020, Melissa has been a Strategic Dedicated Consultant/Instructional Designer. Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband and family, vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, traveling throughout the US and Europe, gardening, exercising, cooking, and reading.
